RED TABLE PLAZA CONCERT SERIES

This is the second year Secundine Promotions will manage the Red Table Plaza Concert Series. We are currently seeking performers. This series is hosted by Downtown South Bend, Inc., the Red Table Plaza Lunchtime Concert Series features a live musical performance Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The series begins early June and runs through early August. The weekday event will be held at the Wells Fargo Plaza on the southwest corner of Michigan and Jefferson streets. All concerts are free and open to the public weather permitting. Bring a lunch, relax on the plaza, and enjoy the lovely music performed by a local musician.

AMAZING ACRES CONCERT SERIES

2009 marked the first annual Amazing Acres Concert Series. Although cold and rain were big obstacles for this outside, festive fall concert series, a fun time was had by the musicians, their families and all the families visiting the farm! We’re looking forward to the 2010 fall season!

BETTER WORLD CONCERT SERIES

Secundine Promotions is currently seeking acoustic solo, duo, and trio acts for this concert series. Better World Books in downtown Goshen, Indiana is a self-sustaining, for-profit social venture whose mission is to capitalize on the value of the book to fund literacy initiatives locally, nationally and around the world. BWB partners with over 900 libraries and 1,600 college campuses across the U.S. and Canada, collecting unwanted textbooks and library discards in support of non-profit literacy programs.

GREAT GOSHEN GRILLOUT

This event was a huge success with the musical entertainment being one of the main attractions. Expanding the grillout and moving to an even bigger location makes this event look even more exciting in the future.

ORGANIC KARMA FIRST SATURDAY CONCERT SERIES

This was a summer long concert series held every first Saturday of the month to draw new customers to Organic Karma in Goshen, Indiana.

Everyday People plays a mix of country and country-rock music. This includes new and contemporary tunes along with classics by the pioneers of country music. Everyday People is comfortable and capable on the big stage as well as with large crowds. This was evidenced as they rocked the house before 18,000 at Mishawaka’s Summerfest. Everyday People has opened for national recording artists Neal McCoy, Randy Travis and country music icon Loretta Lynn. True professionals, they also opened for Terry Clark in an outside concert during a typical midwest thunderstorm at Mishawaka’s finest brew pub.

Everyday People play covers by contemporary artists such as Kasey Chambers, JoDee Messina, Sarah Evans, Dixie Chicks, Alison Kraus, Linda Rondstadt and Bonnie Raitt just to name a few. They also pride themselves on knowing traditional standards by Country music Legends such as Hank Williams, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn.

The Deep Fried Pickles are a delectable musical treat. They pride themselves on making JUGaBilly HOKUM music. Founded in ’00 as a jug band, ‘DFPP’ now mixes other American roots forms into the breading batter as well. Bluegrass, Hokum, Folk, Rockabilly, Blues and Honky-Tonk tunes pepper their set lists.

Recent performance venues include Wakarusa, TELLURIDE BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL, High Sierra and SUNSHINE DAYDREAMS in West Virginia, as well as picnics, bars, baptisms, theaters, bathtubs and festivals across North America.

The Pickles have appeared with Nickel Creek, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Gov’t Mule, Umphrey’s McGee, BELA FLECK, Buckethead, String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mountain String Band, George Clinton, Derek Trucks Band and ANI DE FRANCO, among many others on their festival tours.

The band has been featured in SPIN, NO DEPRESSION and RELIX music magazines, as well as the online ‘zines such as Jambase and Glide. The DFPP has performed on national TV in their PBS kids debut.

What sets the Pickles apart as a band is the fact that they can play kids shows, adult shows and then host a “KinderMusic ” kids instrument building workshop all in the same day. Their flexibility and devotion to music education have made them a popular act to book for festival promoters and talent buyers.

The band was featured in an episode of ‘Postcards From Buster’, a spin-off of “Arthur” on PBS Kids, which has millions of viewers worldwide. The show aired on October 11th. The episode was entitled, ‘Meet Me at the Fair’. (..101) Check your local listings for re-broadcast airtimes.

The DFPP’s second album, ‘Attack of the Pickles’, was released in September of 2003. Its single, ‘Picklejuice’ won a John Lennon Songwriting Contest Finalist Award for 2003. The Pickles also make an appearance on new new Fred Eaglesmith tribute album, ’20 Odd Hollers II’. The latest DFPP album to surface is named ‘Live from the Trailer Trash Tour’, and was released in the Spring of 2005. The band is currently recording a new album, ‘Whitewood Creek’, which will be available just before their Summer 2006 U.S. tour. CD’s are available for sale on CDbaby.com.

Kent Arnsbarger is a solo steel drum performer using high quality backup tracks (all played & recorded by him) over a very compact, state-of-the-art Bose sound system in true stereo to entertain you with over 65 of your favorite island songs. Kent has performed at many different venues from wedding receptions to birthday parties, resorts & restaurants, zoos & colleges, casinos, and corporate parties. After (or before) the performance, Kent can also DJ your event with over 6,000 songs of many styles at his fingertips. Professional NSI controlled lighting can be added for evening events at a minimal charge. Kent has performed on television several times and has opened for the world famous Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. He also teaches percussion at La Porte High School in Indiana and is a classically trained percussionist.
